I was beyond honored to be inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame on Friday night. It really was like an out of body experience. First, I was in the presence of true greats in the broadcast business – pioneers, people who have paved the way for me to do what I do, people who broke ground and broke barriers. Then, they showed a video that chronicled my 30 plus years.
Wait! Have I really been in journalism for 30 years? Didn’t I just start doing this job? Apparently not, as I watched the video – it was like a hair style time machine: big, curly, short, shoulder-length… good grief! The 80’s hair – wow that was a flashback. Yep, I’ve been doing this for a while. Then, I heard my name called to be inducted. Again, it felt like an out of body experience. I could not be more proud to do it with the team of professionals and friends here at NBC10. I feel so blessed to be able to do work that I love and serve the viewers of the Delaware valley. A huge thank you to my teammates who came out to support me.
